The First Nations Tax Commission recently hosted an information booth at the annual national conference for the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada from February 17-19, 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The theme of the conference was ‘Capitalizing on Opportunities that Lead to Self-Reliance and Economic Prosperity’.
FNTC was able to engage with conference delegates to discuss how property taxation helps create sustainable communities and strong governments. Highlighted in these discussions were the services and resources available through the FNTC. Delegates were asked to answer a trivia question at the booth to enter a prize draw. Thank you to all who visited the information booth and participated in the prize draw.
Congratulations to our prize draw winner, Pam McNab (pictured left) from the Touchwood Agency Tribal Council located in Punnichy, Saskatchewan.
